The heavy-duty steel frame of a Casita Travel Trailer improves underbody strength, protects the camper from road and rough terrain damage, and carries heavy duty suspension mounts.
Every Casita Travel Trailer features an all-fiberglass bottom pan that eliminates rust problems, and eliminates under-carriage water leakage. The wood floor construction is completely sealed with resin and fiberglass inside of the trailer, preventing rotting from road moisture and dust penetration.
Every Casita Travel Trailer includes a high-density polypropylene closed-cell foam insulation layer in addition to our fiberglass composite structure. This advanced material provides a high strength-to-weight ratio while delivering excellent thermal resistance across a broad temperature range, helping maintain comfortable interior temperatures in both hot and cold climates.
The closed-cell composition minimizes moisture absorption, helping prevent condensation buildup and preserving insulating performance in humid, wet, or freezing environments. Polypropylene foam also offers inherent vapor resistance and structural stability, reducing thermal bridging and supporting consistent thermal performance over time.
In addition to thermal efficiency, the foam contributes to acoustic dampening and vibration reduction, enhancing overall cabin comfort.
On the 24′ Discovery model, the underbelly is fully enclosed and heated, providing added protection for tanks and plumbing in colder conditions.
